Founder president of Kanak Dhara Foundation, which is working for number of causes, be it education for underprivileged children, legal aid and awareness regarding safety of girl child and women, cremation of women with no legatee, donation of body organs and providing open education to the needy. From past many years her foundation is serving in Braj Vrindavan to provide trouble free life to abandoned, abused, needy and exploited women. Women who have no shelter, Laxmi’s foundation strives hard to rehabilitate them and also provide medicines, food, clothes etc. Her sole motive is to provide every possible solution to their problems. Also Kanak Dhara attempts to bring justice to the victims of rape, dowry and other social abuse. In addition she firmly believes in women empowerment as well as their self-dependence also taking up their issues to the administration. For her body of work she has been awarded with various Prashashti Patra and Awards from Government as well as other organizations. National Legal Service Authority acknowledged her social survey on widows of Vrindavan twice in the year 2011 and 2012. Central Police Reserve Force recognized her work towards widow support in Vrindavan 2013. On International Women’s Day in 2015 she also had a prompt chat with honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on uplift activities for widows of Vrindavan. Known as Angel of Vrindavan her work has been mentioned in the book Effective People by IIM professor TV Rao. She has won numerous awards and mentions including REAL HEROES Award by Reliance Foundation 2013, Nari shakti Award by Aadhar Foundation (Punjab) 2013, , Awarded #100women Achievers Award by Ministry of Child and Women Development given by honourable President on popular voting through social media, Nari Shakti Samman by Bharat Vikas Parishad in 2016, Vishwa Shanti Ekta Puraskar by Vishwa Shanti Seva Dham in 2017 and others.
