An entreprene­ur, a social worker, a panic healer cum gem therapist, a housewife and a mother of two children, Pallavi Fauzdar is an iron women. Besides excelling in these fields, this 37-year-old-lady is also an adventure motorcycli­st.

She is the first female motorcycli­st in the world to conquer 8 mountain passes of above 5000 metres altitude in a single trip, which included 3500kms of tough mountain terrain of Leh, Ladakh and Kashmir valley. In September 2015 she also rode on to become the first motorcycli­st to reach the top of the ‘Mana Pass’ in Uttarakhan­d. Pallavi is also the first female motorcycli­st to reach the Deo Tal Lake, which is at an altitude of 17,950 feet and is considered as the highest lake in the world. Her feats have also been recognised by Limca Book of World Records. Pallavi actively rides for social causes to the remote village to spread awareness about various causes like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, female infanticid­e, prevention of diseases and malnutriti­on in children. For her achievemen­ts and contributi­on to women empowermen­t, she has received numerous awards such as the Nari Shakti award by the President of India on 8 March 2017 for her display of exception zeal and courage in the field of biking, the Global Woman of UP award by former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav in 2016 and the Veerangana award in 2015 by Umeed foundation for her contributi­ons to the society .
