Actor Tamannaah Bhatia (right) who has done only four Bollywood films, Chand Sa Roshan Chehra (2005), Himmatwala (2013), Entertainment (2014) and Humshakals (2014), says she needs to make her presence felt in the industry with substantial work. Tamannaah is currently working towards that and believes once she starts doing more films, people will stop calling her a newcomer.

“I think it’s only fair that people know you by what they have last seen of you. If I have done more films down South then the audience there will know me more. But in Bollywood, they have seen me doing a limited number of films, so for the audience here I am new. You need to prove yourself over and over again to develop a certain kind of fan following. So I don’t mind the tag, rather it excites me, as I think that people have actually noticed whatever little work I had done,” says the actor, who has done films such as Kalloori.

Meanwhile, the actor is happy with the films she’s taken up in Bollywood and South, and feels those films would prove her talent. The actor is presently shooting for a yet-to-be-titled bilingual film also starring Prabhudheva, where she plays a deaf and mute character. In South, she is doing Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan with Silambarasan and Sketch starring Vikram.

As talks veer to her love life, Tamannaah isn’t comfortable talking about it. “I think we all have to be with one person and when that happens, I would love to share it with the whole world.
