I am a person who believes in ability not disability. I have in my life tried to demonstrate what I believe in by focusing on the ability to achieve — for my country, fans, friends, family and myself. This I achieved by not just winning 18 international medals for my country but also the first medal by an Indian woman in the Paralympics, Rio, 2016.

While going through these barriers, in my pursuit to represent India in the Paralympics at Rio and win India its first medal by a woman, Sarandeep came up as source of motivation and guidance. His support to me as a mental conditioning coach brought in me the belief that I could win the medal for my country. In my pursuit to create an inclusive world where we have ample opportunities for all particularly for women with special ability, I am proud to be associated with WEE foundation started by Sarandeep. His support to women entrepreneurs with special abilities is exemplary.

I am proud to be the core team member of the foundation which empowers women both in urban as well as rural India by teaching them entrepreneurship skills and giving them the power to lead their lives with respect and Sarandeep working tirelessly towards that purpose. I met a few WEE women entrepreneurs who have special ability and are working on technologies to create inclusive world. It is a great platform founded by him which will make “being Indian” fashionable again through his “Swaroj” project (which works on giving our rural women both “Swabhiman” and “Rojgaar”)
