As a Global Scholar of American Cancer Society, Neha Tripathi took a project on “Early Detection & Treatment of Cervix Cancer” in 3 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The first workshop was conducted in the presence of governor and principal health secretary Uttar Pradesh in February 2016. The workshop targeted around 250 medical and paramedica­l students along with female participan­ts from different colleges. After the workshop, principal health secretary announced 23 Sampoorna clinics in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. A Sampoorna clinic aims at providing informatio­n and conducting health checkups of the females between the age group of 15 to 60 years.

Neha has conducted workshops at government managed a female hospital in Barabanki and establishe­d the Sampoorna clinic there. As a member of Health Partner forum, she takes care of 7 districts of Uttar Pradesh for the prevention of non- communicab­le diseases. Neha has also organised several rural camps for the screening of Cervix Cancer and general checkup. “We have a project of Telemedici­ne Bus with SGPGIMS Lucknow, which is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic equipments,” says Neha. Neha has motivated 495 heads of the institutio­ns for declaring their premises as tobacco-free zones and further organised 8 workshops about palliative care and availabili­ty of oral morphine in government medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh and Assam.
