As a Global Scholar of American Cancer Society, Neha Tripathi took a project on “Early Detection & Treatment of Cervix Cancer” in 3 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The first workshop was conducted in the presence of governor and principal health secretary Uttar Pradesh in February 2016. The workshop targeted around 250 medical and paramedical students along with female participants from different colleges. After the workshop, principal health secretary announced 23 Sampoorna clinics in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. A Sampoorna clinic aims at providing information and conducting health checkups of the females between the age group of 15 to 60 years.
Neha has conducted workshops at government managed a female hospital in Barabanki and established the Sampoorna clinic there. As a member of Health Partner forum, she takes care of 7 districts of Uttar Pradesh for the prevention of non- communicable diseases. Neha has also organised several rural camps for the screening of Cervix Cancer and general checkup. “We have a project of Telemedicine Bus with SGPGIMS Lucknow, which is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic equipments,” says Neha. Neha has motivated 495 heads of the institutions for declaring their premises as tobacco-free zones and further organised 8 workshops about palliative care and availability of oral morphine in government medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh and Assam.
