MOVIES TELEVISION HOROSCOPE EVENTS PRE-WEDDING SHOOT? LET’S GO GURGAON
Bored of shooting at the same locations in the Capital, couples explore lesser-tapped spots in Gurgaon to capture their pre-wedding moments
Forts and gardens of the Capital have been overexposed in pre-wedding shoots, feels many couples. Thus to end the monotony and in the quest to explore newer settings, shoots have been moved to Gurgaon.
Prashant Bhardwaj, from Knot Just Pictures, says, “Monuments of Delhi make for a beautiful background. But, people now want to explore new spots. Gurgaon, for it’s proximity to Delhi has become quite popular. Some of the shooting spots include Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, National Highway, Manesar, and some resorts and farmhouses of Gurgaon.”
While Delhi has a strong historical background to provide a backdrop for shoots, Gurgaon boasts verdant untapped locales. And with the spending capacity of the young couples increasing, day by day, they aren’t ready to compromise on the aesthetics of their pre-wedding shoot. “People travel to Badshahpur where the entire range of Aravalli hills is present as the backdrop. Apart from this, the Biodiversity Park is popular,” says Gaurav Lovey Arora of Photo Rachna Studios.
Not only the couples, but also photographers are tired of shooting in the Capital. Photographer Sukhi Singh says, “I’ve got bored of shooting at Lodhi Gardens. So, I try to scout for different locations. I’ve proposed a pre-wedding video shoot at the Gurgaon-Faridabad highway to a client and they are kicked about it. It’s a great place to shoot as it has mountains on both the sides.” Moreover, receiving permission to shoot at Delhi monuments is an issue that acts as a deterrent for photographers.
The couples are happy to find new spots to shoot their video. Surbhi Sharma, says, “All my friends got clicked in Delhi, so I didn’t want to go there again. I asked my photographer to find fresh locations. We got clicked in Sultanpur and the photos are great.”
