One of the many things a true Delhiite loves about Delhi, is its mouthwatering food. And singing duo Manmeet Singh and Harmeet Singh are no different. Even though the two, popularly known as Meet Bros, have travelled all over the world, Delhi food holds a special place in their hearts. “We love the khaana here. It keeps us connected with the place. No other place has food like Delhi,” say the brothers, who were in Delhi recently.

Along with the Capital’s gastronomical delights, there are many other aspects which keep the duo connected to Delhi. They always make it a point to visit Bangla Sahib, whenever they are in town. “The gurudwara has blessed my family for many years and whatever we have achieved so far, is because of the blessings,” says Harmeet. However, the one thing they don’t like about the city, is the traffic. “Though, I love Delhi, the only thing which disturbs us is the traffic. It is even worse than Mumbai. The big wide roads don’t look wide anymore. It really breaks my heart to see Delhi turn into this chaotic place, just because everyone has a car,” says Manmeet.

The brothers, known for their hit numbers, such as Baby doll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan, tell us that their passion for music began in childhood itself.

“We started music at a very young age. It was in class 1, when we took part in an interschool kirtan competition and came second. That was the beginning for us. Then later, we wrote our first single, Jogi Singh Barnala Singh in school. It became a hit after college,” shares Harmeet.

Unlike many celebrities, they are unperturbed by criticism. “We are very comfortable with receiving criticism and facing it. In fact, we call for it. We are open to it. It pushes us in the right direction,” they say.
