T Isn’t it enough being Shah Rukh?

he Delhi University admission season is just weeks away, and a very interesting admission form belonging to a Hans Raj College alumnus has surfaced online. It’s getting a lot of eyeballs on social media, along with some titters.

The form, published by a student-run portal, has gone viral, because it belongs to none other than Shah Rukh Khan, who finished school at a time when cut-off marks for college admission didn’t hover near the dizzying 100 per cent. The form shows a respectable 51 per cent score in English.

Website admin Milhaj Hussain says that the document is authentic.

He adds that the form has been with someone for a while now, but it got noticed only when the portal put it up on Monday.

While sharing it online raises the question of breach of privacy, Hussain says that the website’s intention is good. “We’ve shared it to show that marks don’t matter if you are hardworking enough and know your aim in life — who can be a better example than Shah Rukh Khan?” he says.

Commenting on it, Mayank Aggarwal, student of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, says, “I got better marks than Shah Rukh and still couldn’t crack a North Campus college. What has changed in all these years, if the courses and the colleges are the same?”

Hans Raj student Viraj Shokeen asks, “If marks don’t matter, why does the system of cut-off exist?”

However, Rishabh Suri of Kirori Mal College believes, “Marks don’t define anyone. SRK just delivered the most amazing TED talk. Beat that!”

Unsure of the authenticity of the admission form, Hans Raj College principal Dr Rama says, “Sharing an admission form is not illegal, but making fun of his marks is not right. Students [now] should understand that... [the] marking process was different then. I am proud that Shah Rukh is from my college.”
