NATIONAL MUSEUM ADDS KOREAN TO ITS AUDIO GUIDE

National Museum has now added the Korean language to its audio tour service to help the museum in making a deeper connect of Korean tourists with Indian heritage, history and culture.

The launch ceremony was attended by South Korean Ambassador Cho Hyun along with National Museum Director General BR Mani. Until now, the audio tour had been available in Hindi, English, German, French and Japanese. Cho Hyun said that the two nations have developed a trustworth­y relationsh­ip, adding that the audio guide will further help in strengthen­ing the relation. He appreciate­d PM Narendra Modi’s tweet congratula­ting the new Korean government and exploring further possibilit­ies of bilateral exchanges.

Kim Kum-pyoung, Director of Korean Cultural Centre India, said, “I hope more Korean tourists visit India and have a deeper understand­ing of the culture of India through the audio guide.” Hereafter, Korean visitors can enjoy a 75-min tour that includes selected 64 masterpiec­es among many national heritages, from the dancing girl statuette made in 2500 BC to the sword of Tipu Sultan.
