Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio talk has been compiled into a form of book Mann Ki Baat: A social revolution on Radio. The book offers a definitive transcript of the first 23 episodes and is dotted with examples of inclusive growth and total transforma­tion, all triggering from the PM’s monthly talks.

The hour-long show, which started on October 3, 2014, is now a tome of fascinatin­g anecdotal incidents and life-stirring stories having profound impact on listeners. The book has examples of inclusive growth and total transforma­tion, all triggering from the PM’s monthly talks. The book illustrate­s how ‘Mann Ki Baat’ has bridged the gap between communitie­s living in cities, towns and villages in India. The book also narrates the impact of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, where the Prime Minister’s talk initiated the mass movements in cleanlines­s, promoting India’s tourism and following traffic rules. This book entailed a detailed study of the correspond­ence that comes to the prime minister before every ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode– lakhs of letters, emails, posts on MyGov, inputs on the ‘Narendra Modi Mobile App’ and inputs from various Ministries and MPs. These indicated what the people wanted to hear from the Prime Minister and reiterated his strong personal popularity among the youth. While preparing this book, a detailed study of every ‘Mann Ki Baat’ transcript was undertaken.
