This Eid, make the most of ‘Sale’

After a month-long Ramadan, Lucknow will be celebratin­g Eid amid fun, frolic and a lot of sale. Already, markets in the city have turned into a fashion-cum-sale bonanza. Up for grabs are designer, ethnic and one of a kind garment. Be it Hazratganj, Chowk or the malls, the city is in full swing to offering good sales.

High on ethnic and party wear

The designer brands such as W, Globus, Shoppers stop and Lifestyle have up to 40% sales whereas Aurelia has launched a new collection and has up to flat 50% off. “The collection is very special and ethnic. It is more of silver based now than golden, which is mostly in our clothes. The collection has pastel colored Kurtis concerning the heat factor this festive season and also neutral tones in suits. Chanderi cotton and Rayon fabrics are the newly launched, said Neha, store manager, Gomti Nagar.

The W Store is currently running 20% off. Their Eid collection is inspired by the Mughals and is done on French crepe fabric unlike the Rayon which is one of the main W fabrics. "I like the garments a lot as they have kept it light and comfortabl­e,” said Asra, a customer.

Less expensive yet traditiona­l is exactly what Chowk is known for and is your go to place right now. It is offering the famous Chikankari in affordable prices. Men can get an array of colourful traditiona­l Kurtas in good fabrics and colours. Hazratganj being the hub of the ultimate fashion store in the city is seeing stores with an off season sale like Meena Bazaar and Calcutta's in style selling some gorgeous Gota patti and Chickankar­i embroidere­d garments.
