LI’L KRISHNAS WOW
Thirty-two kids, aged between 2 to 15 years, weaved magic at the musical dance drama Murlidhar staged at Sant Gadge Auditorium, UP Sangeet Natak Academy on Monday.
The fast-paced play started with Deviki’s marriage followed by Krishna janam, baal leela to elimination of Kansa. The play had four Krishnas — 2-year-old Vivan Agarwal, Arya Kapoor, Om Yadav and Gaurika Luthra.
Gaurika, a fabulous kathak dancer, impressed the audience with her moves and dialogue delivery. Nividha played the role of Kansa. Ratnagi Pandit wowed public with her various roles — Deviki, Rohini and a gopi. 6-year-old Prisha Agarwal who played baal Radha earned huge applause for her dialogue delivery.
Music, dances and quick change of scenes were the highpoint of the play.
Organised by Jyotirmayee Bal Rangmach, the play was scripted and conceptualised by Saroj Agarwal and supported by Rekha Kapoor and Veena Khanna. Puneet Asthana directed the play.
The theatre group, started by Saroj Agarwal, currently has 150 children aged from 2 to 15 years. Last, they staged English play Troy.
