Actor obliged fans by signing autographs, clicking photos and sharing hi-five with them

Actors Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar were on a move in UP from city of Nawabs to the city of Taj. The stars were busy promoting their upcoming movie. Bhumi and Akshay elated attending both the events. The one in Lucknow also saw chief minister Yogi Adityanath promoting the cause of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan and the ‘Khiladi Kumar’ talking about his upcoming movie ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’. Akshay sang and asked youngsters and kids to join in, he also signed autographs and took selfies with his fans.

National award winning actor Akshay Kumar charmed one and all with his charismati­c presence during his visit to the state capital on Friday. Looking dapper in black trouser and grey check shirt, he arrived with his Toilet Ek Prem Katha co-star Bhumi Pednekar to a warm welcome.

The Millennium School students greeted the actors with flowers and placard having photos of their favourite film star.

Standing patiently to catch a glimpse of Akshay, they kept their pen ready to get an autograph. And the actor obliged the young brigade. Giving hi-five to students, he also signed some of the placards.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath too broke his high-security cordon to meet the students waiting with brooms in their tiny hands on a sunny and sultry day. The students enthusiast­ically read out the entire cleanlines­s pledge read out by the chief minister.

During the interactiv­e session too, the star connected with the audience. As the chief minister launched his film’s anthem ‘Toilet Se Jugaar’, he sang the song on the mic while Bhoomi too crooned. While the song video was played on the big screen the audience clapped along.

Making a debut as a singer, he said, “When I heard the song I was so impressed that I requested the makers to let me sing the song and here we are launching the song worldwide from Lucknow. If you see anyone defecating in open please play this song near them. We need to educate them than shaming on social media.”

He struck the local chord by talking about his films he shot in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from Toilet… his last film Jolly LLB-2 were shot in AgraMathur­a and LucknowVar­anasi respective­ly. Post event, while leaving venue he obliged fans by signing autographs while sitting in the car.
