‘Sabbir and I are made for each other’

...says Tiger, who has done three of his four films with the filmmaker

- Monika Rawal Kukreja

With just four films to his credit, actor Tiger Shroff (right) has certainly become one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood. However, it can’t be overlooked that out of his four releases, three have been directed by Sabbir Khan (below). And Tiger has no qualms in admitting that whatever little he has learned, he owes it to Sabbir.

“I’m thankful to Sabbir that I’ve gotten a little bit of hang of the craft. I’m glad I started my career with him and our ventures together have been appreciated by audiences,” says Tiger, whose last release, Munna Michael didn’t receive a great response as compared to Heropanti (2014) and Baaghi (2016).

Tiger, who is reportedly playing the lead in Baaghi 2 [to be directed by Ahmed Khan] and Student of the Year 2 [to be directed by Punit Malhotra] says that he will definitely miss Sabbir.

“I know I’ll work with him soon. The reason I clicked with him so well in the past is because we both used to converse even before Heropanti happened and got to know each other well. We had similar wave length; its a match made in heaven,” says Tiger.

Asked if repeatedly teaming up with the same filmmaker influences his work too and if he is comfortable in sharing his creative inputs with him, and Tiger says, “He is open to suggestions but I know when to give them. It would be only during a dance or action sequence on which I have some knowledge.”
