Long, flowy locks are as much for men, and our macho brigade is proof ! It was anyway an informal end of the era of the undercut when last month, former English footballer and fashion icon David Beckham shared a picture of his grown mane on Instagram. Closer home, bearing the torch are Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. Ranveer also loves styling his luscious tresses, be it curls to straight or something-in-between.

Is this the comeback of the noughties (2001-2009) style? Celeb hairstylist Rod Anker believes so. “Now that the undercut is passé, the next style has to be the exact opposite. Medium-long hair for men seems to be on everyone’s mind. Since Beckham is the frontrunner of fashion, we’ll see the style on many more men,” he says.

Hair expert Jawed Habib recalls how the medium long hair was a prominent choice back in 2003. “John Abraham in Jism to Brad Pitt in Troy, and of course, Beckham also had it,” he says.

Not sure how to pull it off ? Follow celeb stylist Vikram Seth’s hack: “When wearing a suit, tie your hair in a neat ponytail. For a more casual look, blow dry your hair and let it bounce as you strut.”
