T usshar Kapoor has had the most eventful last two years. The actor became father to son Laksshya and now is ready with his next, Golmaal Again. His character is certainly one of the most popular among the cast. Ask him if playing the role in three films of the franchise makes it a cakewalk to attempt the fourth time, “I won’t lie. There is pressure,” he says.

Tusshar says that Golmaal 3 performed well at the box office, so there is pressure to take it notches higher.“Rohit (Shetty; director) took that film to another level. When you comeback after seven years, there is pressure whether you will be able to match up to your own self. You feel nervous but that is positive energy. So, if you keep that in mind, you will definitely go a step ahead to give people more than what they expect. When we all come together, there is some magic which has no logic. That’s what makes the Golmaal franchise so successful. Hopefully, we will have more films in the future,” he says.

On personal level, the actor says that his son’s presence has changed his life.

“It was something that I was waiting for. Parenthood makes you feel more settled, organised, and a lot calmer. The only thing missing in my life was probably someone to love and to have of my own. He has brought a purpose in my life,” says the actor.

Moreover, Tusshar credits Buddhism as one of the major reasons that altered his thinking. He says, “I’m into Nichiren Buddhism. It’s been two years since I began practising. It has completely changed me. It’s about selfrealisation. Firstly, it helped in removing all the negative people from my life. It gives you the wisdom as to how to deal with life. It has sorted a lot of issues in my personal life as well. The announcement of my son’s birth and the procedure I went through, happened smoothly. Now, I do things that make me feel better, which I never did earlier.”
