Radhika Apte finds a ‘direct’ connect

Radhika Apte is currently in the middle of shooting for her new web series, acred Games that also stars aif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin iddiqui. Not many know that he web series is based on a ook by the same name, which has been written by Vikram Chandra.

“For the past few days, Radhika has been shooting for the web series in Mumbai. She hasn’t read the book, but is aware of the storyline. She has purposely decided to not allow the real concept behind the book interfere with her director’s vision and imagination of the script. She doesn’t even plan to take up the book until after she finishes work on the web series,” says an insider.

When contacted, Radhika admits that she is aware of the book’s content. She says, “Of course, I know the story but I haven’t read the book. So, when it comes to working as an actor, I am only following my director’s vision of the character right now.”

Before Sacred Games, Radhika has experimented with various platforms of content-making including a short film, Ahalya. “She doesn’t want to restrict herself as an actor due to any of the platforms,” says the insider. When it comes to films, she has Padman, Baazaar and Sriram Raghavan’s next co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana coming up.

Of course, I know the story but I haven’t read the book. So, when it comes to working as an actor, I am only following my director’s vision of the character right now. RADHIKA APTE, ACTOR
