Virushka wedding intrigue: She flies out of Mumbai; he, too, may have left
Amid reports that cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma are getting married in Italy today — reports that have been denied by the actor’s PR rep — Anushka was spotted at Mumbai airport on Thursday, flying out with her parents. And in Delhi, the rumour was that Virat was spotted at the IGI airport around 11.30pm. All of this has lent credence to the speculation that the wedding venue is in Milan.
Anushka seemed to be in a rush as the paparazzi circled with cameras and questions. Her father, Ajay Sharma, mother Ashima and brother Karnesh carried massive bags inside the airport and avoided talking to the media.
According to speculative reports, the wedding is a threeday affair, to be attended by friends and family members.
Last year, similar rumours had been sparked by the couple’s vacation at a resort near Haridwar.
Virat and Anushka, aka Virushka, have been dating since 2013 after meeting during the shoot of a television ad. Their relationship often made headlines, with rumours of a split in January 2016. They were reunited around April.
This year, they attended — as a couple — the wedding of cricketer Zaheer Khan and actor Sagarika Ghatge.
The Indian skipper has spoken highly of his girlfriend on the web series, Breakfast with Champions, saying that it was Anushka who motivated him in difficult periods.
