‘I was shivering when I met Rajinikanth’
Director Sanjay Jadhav is currently in a great phase, he is working on his next venture Ye Re Ye Re Paisa, which releases next year and is looking forward to a lot more excitement in the coming year.
The Duniyadari (2013) director recently posted on social media birthday wishes and an image of superstar Rajinikanth and captioned it, ‘Happy Birthday @superstarrajini Sir.. aap jiyo hazaaro saal. I’m lucky I could meet you in person in this life!’
When HT Café contacted Sanjay, he shared, “Well, when I met Rajinikanth sir I was shivering, and I was absolutely thrilled. I was excited and at the same time, a little anxious and restless. This is what happens when you meet such a legend. All your feelings collide at that moment. That was truly an experience by all means.”
Sanjay shared that he was fortunate to have met him on a film set. “During that meeting, I was sitting next to him talking to a crew member regarding work. He preferred to sit away from us for a while just not to disturb our conversation. I was thrilled after seeing his humble behavior.”
Directing him in a film is definitely a dream come true feeling for any director. However, Sanjay admits that he is not actually looking for that opportunity. “I don’t want to direct a film with him in it, but I would like to observe his working style. In spite of being so experienced, he is very humble.”
What does Sanjay find most appealing about the megastar? “He is a very humble and down to earth person. When I met him, there were many people waving at him seeking for his one smile and a ‘hello’ from him. He was absolutely aware of his huge fan following. He was poised, calm and humble while interacting with his fans. The love from your fans should turn you into a better and a more polite person. This is what you learn when you see Rajinikanth with his fans.”
