The Punchnama gang is back. And with a bang. Their latest offering — with actors Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh in leads — is all about handling bromance verses romance.

“We had great fun shooting Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. We have worked together and this was more like a re-union for all of us,” says Kartik, who went on to become a rage after delivering a lengthy monologue in Pyar Ka Punchnama.

“Since we already knew each other’s weak and strong points and how one would react to a particular scene, we were at ease while working again,” he says.

Cadbury girl, Nusrat Bharucha, too appeared optimistic about the fate of their upcoming film.

“It’s a much awaited release. The story revolves around two childhood friends, Sonu and Titu. Titu falls in love easily, and quite frequently, and Sonu always have to step in to save him. Sonu’s instinct to protect Titu from the prefect bride Sweety at whatever cost, makes him feel that she’s too good to be true. What ensues is a war between the best friend and the bride to be,” Nusrat reveals the plot.

Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film is set in Delhi and Meerut.

“Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut are cities where most of our audiences come from. Also I am in love with this city’s roads and then the food. It’s so special to come back here and meet our fans,” says Kartik as Nusrat chips in, “Lucknow is any girl’s shopping haven. I mean the kind of chikan stuff we get here is just superb. I’m a bit jealous with the girls here as they have so much to explore and choose from. This time I’ll buy something.”

Kartik, who has played a hassled boyfriend in the 2011 film, says his aspiration in the beginning of his career was to become a romantic hero.

“I’m a die heart fan of Shahrukh Sir and my aim was to be a huge romantic hero. With PKP though my journey went on a little different road but then romance today has undergone drastic transformation that was clearly visible in my famous monologue,” he says.

The trio is elated with the response the trailers and film songs are garnering.

Titu aka Sunny Singh, said, “If only the trailer and numbers have received so many views, we are hoping film would definitely do well. keeping our fingers crossed.”
