For Anil Kapoor, with love from his fans

Till date, throughout his illustrious career, actor Anil Kapoor has come across a legion of fans from around the world. But still, he found himself “pleasantly surprised” on the sets of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (ELKDTAL) when he was met with a sweet gesture.

“During the recent shooting schedule of his film in Patiala (Punjab), Anil sir had surprise visitors — two young fans who were keen to the meet him. When sir got to know that they were waiting for him, he was more than happy to welcome them,” says an insider close to the actor.

Kapoor’s fans presented the actor with a “special” gift. “A passionate artist, Simran Kaur, who calls herself an avid fan of Anil sir, along with her younger brother Meet, had travelled all the way to the shooting spot to personally gift him two sketches,” says the insider.

Simran informed Kapoor that the sketches took over seven days to finish. “Anil sir was overwhelmed by the gesture, especially since one of the sketches shows him with his daughter, Sonam [Kapoor] (incidentally ELKDTAL features the father-daughter duo together for the first time). The other one was a sketch of Sonam. Anil sir even took out time from his schedule to have lunch with Simran and her brother,” adds the insider.

When contacted, Kapoor said, “You know, it’s always an overwhelming feeling to witness love from fans. I was really touched by this gesture [made by Simran and her brother]. These things always inspire me to keep going.”
