The award is for survivors of terminal ailments, like cancer and similar maladies, who are now committed to serving the society

2. YOUNG SOCIETY LEADERS

The award is for youngsters (15-25 years), who are striving to bring change to the society. It is for those who, in addition to their studies or jobs, have taken up the challenge to work for the good of all.

3. CULTURE MASTERS

This honour be will bestowed on outstandin­g women photograph­ers, painters and theatre artists.

4. UNIQUELY ABLED

The award is for disabled women achievers, who have overcome their limitation­s, and are imparting strength to others.

5. WARRIORS IN UNIFORM

When it comes to bravery, women in the security forces- armed forces, police and paramilita­ry forces- are second to none. The award recognises the valour and resilience that enabled them to overcome the odds.

6. GENDER EQUALITY(MALE)

This honour is for men who are working for women’s rights and are committed to bringing about gender equality. This is the first time Hindustan Times will honour men for their work on gender issues during the HT Woman award function.

7. SOCIAL WORK

The award will go to those serving humanity, especially, in the rural areas and slums. Women working for creating awareness on menstrual hygiene in rural areas and slums can also apply.
