Kriti Sanon recently bagged the HT India’s Most Stylish Youth Icon Award. The actor is often praised for her fresh and vibrant style sensibility, and is popular among fashion critics. However, Kriti says that she doesn’t keep tabs on changing fashion trends.

“I don’t keep tabs on runway fashion. Maybe

I look at how others dress up in some films, and how well they are styled. Otherwise, I have my stylist who updates me on what’s in. The stylists and people in the fashion industry are more tuned in (as far as trends are concerned). But it’s not like I follow all trends; there are many I’ve liked but not followed,” says Kriti.

So does she go through reviews about her outfits and even that of fellow actors? “When I’m tagged [online], I do read them sometimes. So maybe once in a while, but I

don’t pay much heed to it. It’s not that I feel bad if someone writes something wrong about me. I’ve had situations where I’ve been in the same outfit, and put under both the ‘best dressed’ and ‘worst dressed’ sections. We need to understand that it’s an individual person’s opinion, which can vary. It’s something you should not make very relevant to your life,” says the actor.

Kriti doesn’t really idolise anyone in fashion, as she feels style is something very personal and individualistic.

“However,” she adds, “there are a lot of people whom I really admire, be it Sonam (Kapoor) or Kangana (Ranaut). Sonam is the one who started the focus on fashion here [in India]. She carries every outfit really well and is so comfortable in it. The same goes for Kangana; she has got a unique sense of style. If you see another person wearing stuff like that, you’d feel she is dressed like her. I feel these two actors are very fashionable,” says Kriti.
