‘Best way to answer trolls is to do well, prove them wrong’
Like many actors who use social media to their advantage, actor Pooja Hedge feels such public platforms are both good and bad in their own way.While they help actors reach out and communicate with their fans directly, social media is also filled with trolls. And, time and again, celebs have reacted to such trolls, silencing their negative comments. On her part, Pooja prefers to ignore them.
“I always concentrate on the positives. Recently, I celebrated the joy of crossing one million followers on Twitter and I’m thankful to everyone. They enjoy my work and has given me so much love,” says Pooja, adding she doesn’t harbour negative feeling for trolls. “I want to give them [trolls] my love. At times, even negative comments push you to work harder. Also, I think the best way to answer trolls is to do well and prove them
wrong. Trolls are like these armchair critics, who quite easily pass comments. They should not be given so much importance; except for what I just said, take their words to heart and work harder,” adds the Mohenjo Daro (2016) actor, who is doing three Telugu films with Prabhas, Jr NTR and Mahesh Babu now.
Happy with the way her career is shaping up, Pooja, at present is juggling shooting for these three films. Other than facing the camera, the actor shares that music, dance and travelling are the three things that she enjoys the most. “Music is a very important part of my daily life — my day starts and ends with it. I enjoy dancing and have been a trained Bharatanatyam dancer for over 10 years. I still practice. Travelling is also close to my heart and I do it whenever I get time. I want to travel the world. Above everything, the best part is that I’m in a profession that allows me to enjoy all these three things as a part of my job. I feel blessed,” she says.
