‘GangaJamuni tehzeeb of Lucknow flows in my poetry’
The imprints of ‘Lucknow School of Urdu Poetry’ would be displayed in next book of noted shayar Khushbir Singh ‘Shaad’. The book named ‘Halat Kuch Alag Si’ is scheduled to be released at Buddha Auditorium besides Sangeet Natak Akademi on Sunday.
Noted literary figure Prof Sharib Rudaulvi will preside over the function, in presence of justice Shabi-ul-Hasnain, Ahsfaq Hussain from Canada, noted poet Farhat Ehsaas, Bharat Bhushan Pant and Shariq Kaifi.
Speaking to HT City, Khushbir Singh Shaad said, “The book has collection of 118 ghazals on various aspects of life. I hope this will be one of the best literary collections in the days to come. The GangaJamuni tehzeeb of Lucknow flows in my poetry and this is what appeals to the youths.”
Shaad says his services are always available for the development of Urdu. He said presence of poets like Sharib Rudaulvi, Farhat Ehsaas, Bharat Bhushan Pant, Ashfaq Hussain and Shariq Kaifi is a matter of pride for him.
The poet who has also written Bollywood songs said, “Poetry in Lucknow is again gaining momentum but youths must wait to learn about the intricacies of poetry. There is no shortcut in the world of Urdu poetry. I can tell you people who love Urdu love my poetry. Lucknow has always embraced me with love and affection I hope this book will receive similar love from everyone.”
