Actor Karanvir Sharma is going strong with his choice of web shows, which have made him more popular than ever. However, the actor, seen in web series such as Girl In The City and Haq Se, has his priorities sorted when it comes to planning his future.

“My space is going to be the actor’s space. I am not looking for just stardom as such. However, I would be lying if I say that I won’t be happy if stardom comes to me. [But], I need, and wish to be carved out, and become a strong actor,” says Karanvir, who has also worked in Bollywood films such as Sadda Adda (2012) and Shaadi Mein Zarur Aana (2017).

The Mumbai boy credits the struggles he has been through for his career sensibility. “All the failures and struggles that have come my way have helped me build and shape my sense of ambition,” he says.

Karanvir says that behind his ambition is his love for the camera and reveals how the acting bug bit him. “I am a Bombay boy and here Bollywood has a huge impact in the way you think. It’s just that every other conversation is around films. At one point in time, my parents asked me what would I like do in my free time. My reply was, ‘I watch movies’. Thus, they suggested that I pursue a career in films. It was as simple as that,” he says.

He adds, “It was a simple idea in my mind but once I started going after my dream, I realised that acting is more complex than I thought.”
