Trinity of talent shines

Kashika Singh, Shreya Sharma and Nitya Pandey put up an exemplary performanc­e at Sangeet Nataka Academy on Tuesday. All being disciples of guru Amrit Sinha, founder Rhythm Divine institute, enthralled all those present in the audience.

Padma Bhushan Saroja Vaidyanath­an was the chief guest at the event.

Arangetram marks the beginning of a person’s stage performanc­e. According to the tradition, it is disciple’s debut as a profession­al performer. At the event, there were a total of eleven sequences performed gracefully by the girls, individual­ly and in groups. The presentati­on commenced with Puspanjali, an invocatory item of a Bharatnaty­am where in the dancer seeks the blessings of Gods, the guru and the audience.

Shreya who started learning Bharatnaty­am at the tender age of seven, is a student of City Montessori School, and feels proud of being a part of the Rhythm Divine School. Kaashika, is in class tenth and has been actively keeping a brilliant scholar record at RLB Memorial School, along with her dance practice. Her journey as a Bharatnaty­am dancer began at the age of nine. Nitya, has also won a classical Dance Competitio­n at Lucknow Mahotsav 2016. A student of class IX, she started her Bharatnaty­am journey at the age of eight. All three of them have participat­ed in the largest Bharatnaty­am performanc­e to establish the record for the LIMCA Book of Records making their guru as well as their parents proud of them.

Later, Saroja Vaidyanath­an blessed the girls and praised them for their splendid performanc­e.
