Young girls of our country are already very progressive...’
Actor Prakurti Mishra was in the city of Nawabs to promote her new fun packed show that went on air recently . Prakurti started her career in Odia cinema and is a recipient of Odisha State Film Award for Best Child Actress and National Film Award for Best Actress.
The good looking actor has done a number of regional films, modelling assignments and TV shows, “I started very young in my career. I was born in Bhubaneswar, Odisha my father Manmath Mishra is Odia music director and my mother Krushnapriya was a newsreader. So you can say acting and TV, its all in my genes. I not only did Odia cinema but also did a serial Tulasi and later participated in India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj (2014). But I always wanted to do something concrete and then Bitti Business Wali on Zee TV happened and here I’m promoting it.”
On asking about her trip to the city she says, ‘’This is my first visit to Lucknow and I am really excited to explore this beautiful city. As I have heard a lot about this place that is known for its brilliant architecture and yummy food, I have few friends in the city so I know that a visit to Tunday Kebabs is a must and then of course as I love shopping I would love to buy chikan kurtis. So you can say I can’t wait to go out to explore the city’s heritage beauty and cultural richness. Talking more about Lucknawi zubaan, she says, “Lucknawi Tehzeeb has always fascinated me. So in my show Bitti... I have tried to inculcate ‘hum’ and ‘aap’, the ‘adabwaali’ language in my character.” When asked, what advice she would like to give to our young girls if they want to start a small scale venture just like her character in the show, she says, I believe young girls of our country are already very progressive. They are full of energy, they can be financially independent if they believe in themselves completely.”
Bitti ...will see Prakurti Mishra with Abhishek Bajaj who plays the male lead along with other character artistes. The story is ready to unfold with the ensemble cast and is being directed by Rakesh Paswan.
