Actor Manoj Bajpayee has won over critics and audiences alike with his powerful performances in films such as Aligarh (2016), Special 26 (2013) and Satya (1998). And, now, we have learned that the actor is all set to make his web debut.

A source tells us, “The audience instantly connects with the impromptu, realistic improvisations that he makes in the characters he plays in films. And now he’s delving into the web series titled The Family Man,where he will be directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the duo that has helmed films like A Gentleman (2017) and Happy Ending (2014). The series will be released by next year.”

In the 10-episode series, Manoj will be locking horns with politicians to solve cases. His character will be in the streets to gather information discreetly, unlike how the members of the special task force are portrayed in other series. The actor confirms, “I’m excited to be part of The Family Man, as it’s my first web series. It was a great experience working with Raj and DK.They bring a lot of creativity to the table. God has been very kind to me this year and I’ve an amazing line-up of films.” This year, Manoj will be seen in Bhosle, Son Chiriya, Satya Mev Jayate, Love Sonia, and Gali Guleiyan, for which the actor has also received the best actor award at the New York Indian Film Festival.

Despite shooting for so many projects, he never lets the makers of any one of his films suffer. The source adds, “Manoj makes sure he reaches the set before time and the shoot runs as per the schedule. He works back-to-back, and is committed to his projects. He has never backed out or made any excuse.”
