Celebrating success with mentors!
Students of La Martiniere Girls’ College who scored more than 95% in ISC examinations 2018 united for Tea Party along with their parents. The party was organised by the school’s principal to celebrate the unprecedented success of their academic excellence.
In the event, accolades were bestowed upon 54 students who performed exemplary in the boards. Isha Bhasin, a national topper who scored 99% said, “Girls are meant to be heard and not only to be seen.” Other two national toppers with 99%, Vanshika Agarwal and Aanandi Arjun, were also present on the occasion.
Vanshika’s mother Priyanka Agarwal said, “The greatest contribution of parents is how they raise their child.” Several other staffs who had served the school for more than 20 years were also seen basking in the glory of these young achievers. Many students became emotional on the thought of leaving the cocooned premises of the institution which has nurtured them into the confident young ladies.
Parthasarthi Sen Sharma, a parent said, “This was their first exam in life and the real exams would be the challenges they will face in the future.” In her concluding speech, principal Aashrita Dass said, “You are the light of the world, you can choose powerlessness and decide to go with the flow, or you can be significant and make your influence felt in the society and come back to your alma mater as the chief guest.” Anil Garg, Commissioner Lucknow, also a member of LMGC (Managing Committee) said, “I congratulate the principal for the incredible achievement of unparalleled result scored by the students of ISC and ICSE this year.” Everyone enjoyed the tea while lawn was abuzz with the chatter on the future plans of the students.
