It’ll be a late honeymoon for Rubina, Abhinav
Actor Rubina Dilaik recently got married to her long time beau, actor Abhinav Shukla in a fairy tale wedding in Shimla. While their lovey-dovey postwedding pictures on social media are giving fans major relationship goals, Rubina says that the feeling of being married hasn’t settled in yet. “It has just not sunk in, because immediately after we got back from our wedding, we went for our shoots. We hardly get to see each other after pack up because our schedules are pretty erratic and they really don’t coincide with each other’s time,” says the actor. However, she isn’t complaining. “But we are enjoying this also, because it’s kind of exciting when you manage your personal and professional life and the balance you strike. Yes, this newness is interesting and exciting and it has a lot of longing... just to see each other after pack up, for an hour or so. If I have some time, like 15-20 minutes, I bake something for Abhinav. I love to cook for him. So, we both just steal time for each other,” adds Rubina. Asked about their honeymoon plans, she says that it’s not happening anytime soon: “Honeymoon plans are yet to be finalised, because we are committed to our work as well. So, it will happen only after a couple of months. I have a few destinations in mind and depending upon the days and offs we get together, we will zero down on a destination.” Rubina says that getting married to someone from the same profession is a blessing. “I believe that if you have a person who understands your profession, it is a little easier. In the long run, it helps. You understand the subjectivity of time and notion that comes along with a particular profession,” Rubina says. The actor adds that she connected with Abhinav on a lot of aspects, including their love for travelling and photography, and hence it was a match made in heaven. “I feel extremely blessed to not only have a man like Abhinav [in my life] but to also have a soul, which is so adventurous yet very homely,” she says.
