Adapting old movies for new TV serials seems to be the latest trend. And the actors are more than happy to reprise the hit characters of the 70mm on television.

The latest in the series is the show Papa By Chance that has been loosely adapted from National Award winning film Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke.

Male lead Zebby Singh, along with child artist Arishfa Khan, was in Lucknow to promote their new fun show. Talking about his character in the show model-turned-actor Zebby said, “This is my debut show and I play Yuvaan, a flamboyant lad who gets trapped with these kids due to some unavoidable circumstances. The story revolves around the plot and hence the name Papa By Chance. You can say it’s somewhere inspired by Aamir Khan’s character in HHRPK but still it’s very different in terms of personality.”

Zebby has done his share of modelling and ramp after reaching the top six of Mr India 2015 before taking plunge into acting. Zebby aka Rupinderjit Singh says, “I’m an easy going person and believe that whatever is destined to happen will happen.

You can say I’m a destiny’s child. My destiny took me to Mr India and then I was head down in modelling assignments and then when acting happened not only I got a chance to play a pivotal role in Anurag Kashyap and Anand L Rai’s ‘Manmarziyan’ starring Taapsee Pannu and Abhishek Bachchan, I also signed this daily for Star Bharat where I play the lead. I have left my life and career to take its own course.”

Child artist Arishfa Khan who was last seen in recently released Sahab Biwi aur Gangster 3 is the happy go lucky girl. “I have done a lot of shows like Veera, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Jennie Aur Juju and Baal Veer to name a few but I enjoyed doing this film most. I played actor Chitrangada Singh’s sister and I loved the process of film making.”

Arishfa hails from Shahjahanpur, UP and has been to Lucknow couple of times but for Zebby it’s his first visit. “I have heard so much about Lucknow and it feels good that our show got me here finally. I have heard a lot about this city, especially its food and soft spoken people. So I wish to explore this city more in coming days as when I’ll get a chance,” adds Zebby.

Hanuman fame child artist Ishant Bhanushali along with Arishfa will play two of the three kids. The daily soap is all set to go on air from 20 August.
