From a management student to becoming a model and a TV actor, Nishant Singh Malkani has come a long way.

On a visit to city for the promotion of his upcoming show, Nishant says, “Lucknow is an amazing city and it feels great to be here for the promotion of my upcoming show.”

“I love this beautiful city because of its poetry, vibrant culture and food. If possible, I would like to relish kebabs and visit Aminabad,” he says while revealing the plot of show based on an offbeat storyline.

“It is a unique plot where a young girl gets married off to an elderly man because of family pressure and circumstances.”

Talking about his character, Akshat Jindal, in the show, Nishant says, “I’m playing a middle class 40-yearold business man who is perfectionist. As a head of the family he makes sure to fulfill the needs and wishes of his sons and daughters-in-law. But he forgets to live his own life until his daughters-in-law get him re-married to 20-yearold Guddan. After this, his life takes an interesting turn.”

‘Miley Jab Hum Tum’, ‘Sasural Genda Phool’, ‘Ram Milayi Jodi’ are few of his TV shows. He has also done films like Bezubaan Ishq, Cute Kameena and a web series Ragini MMS 2.

“The roles I played in earlier shows were very different from the one I am playing in ‘Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega.’ The daily will be aired on Zee TV .”

“I have never played the role of a father-in-law before. I decided to take up this as it allows me to discover many facets of my personality and pushes my limit as an actor.”

On asked about his future work plans, the actor says he will be seen in films ‘Ishq ne crazy kiya Re’ playing a romantic lead role and ‘Baitra’.

Both the films will release in 2019. “I have worked in all the three mediums TV, Film and Web. Amongst the three, I think web is the better platform as it gives more freedom to your opinions and people accept it. It is an internet era where youth watch web series more as compared to soap operas. So, I think working in web will give me a better opportunity,” says Nishant.
