‘DON’T MIND SMALL ROLES IN BIG FILMS’

Many actors tend to downplay and even not talk about their unsuccessful films. However, Sunny Leone isn’t like them.

The actor, who became a sensation with hit films such as Ragini MMS 2 and Jism 2, was part of a few underperforming releases recently, including Beiimaan Love and Mastizaade (both, 2016).

It’s refreshing when she herself brings it up in the conversation. “As you know, my last (few) films didn’t do so great. I don’t mind doing small or big roles; it can even be a single dialogue. I just want to be a part of a film that’s great, like there’s Arjun Patiala with Diljit Dosanjh. I did a song and have a small role in it. I’m getting myself out there and figuring what works and what doesn’t,” says Sunny.

Asked what kind of roles does she exactly want to do from now on, she says, “I want exciting work that is backed by great production houses and directors, and some pretty big actors. I think we have come to a time when people consume content digitally [too], so we have to choose subjects that are more than just a pay cheque.”

She’s currently busy hosting a dating reality show, and prepping for the second season of the web series based on her life. Sunny admits that doing the web series helped her a lot.

“I learnt [that] people are liking it. I don’t have that personality which jumps up and down, like ‘Oh my gosh, this is amazing!’. Six months from now, maybe I will openly show the excitement. I went through so much during making this show, just trying to get out of that dark space. I am excited that people enjoyed it,” Sunny signs off.

Actor Sunny Leone has a fresh approach towards films — not taking them up merely for the pay cheque
