After reaching the 10 million subscriber mark on his YouTube channel, Noidabased comedian Amit Bhadana says that he wants to do something “different” than just make funny videos.

The 24-year-old is, but of course, “over the moon” ever since his channel crossed this milestone. However, he says that he won’t get carried away by the numbers, and desires to use the subscriber base to do something “bigger” and “better” than what he has been doing so far. “To be honest, I want to make web series and short films now. I know that numbers are not everything, but I won’t lie and say that they don’t matter to me. Numbers matter. I know that people like the kind of videos I make. Yes, my content is very desi, very rural, but still, there is a big urban population that follows me. I now want to do something better,” says Amit, who is known to make hilarious videos on topics such as relationship and love, and bases most of his characters around his friends and relatives. Amit is one of the first few comedians to cross the 10 million subscriber mark. He, however, never thought that his videos will be appreciated so much. “[Not] in a million years. As I said, my content is mostly desi, so I never expected it to go beyond a certain kind of audience. But I am happy that I was proven wrong. I think that everyone sort of relates to the kind of humour that’s there in my videos,” he says, adding, “I have [now] decided that I will make videos on certain urban things as well.”

The law graduate further says that he feels that it’s the need of the hour to make videos on contemporary issues so that they are more relatable in an urban set-up. His challenge, however, is to get a first-hand account of these subject. Amit shares, “I have a law degree, so I know a lot about lawyers and things associated with them. But, I have never stepped a foot inside an office. I want to make videos about people working in an office. But I don’t have experience for that yet. I will ask a few of my friends, who work in an office, to show me around, and tell me more about their work culture.”
