For busy bee Taapsee, vacays are essential

Celebrities often share a lot of things with their fans via social media. And actor Taapsee Pannu is no different. Summarising her happiness on receiving great responses on all her films that released this year, Taapsee recently tweeted: “I think I can say with a big smile on my face, IT (has) BEEN A GOOD YEAR.” Oh yes, the actor has five successful releases to her credit this year. Ask her about doing multiple projects and how easy or difficult was it to manage/ play such different characters, and she says, “Well (laughs), I am lucky to have this [kind of a] variety on my platter. As far as managing my schedule and playing different characters are concerned, I just take a break (in between) and go on a holiday... I answer [work related-calls], but... I stay away [detached from work] as much as possible.”

Probe her more about the kind of a traveller that she is, and she shares, “A typical tourist! I roam around, have a cup of coffee at a random café, observe people, and soak in the ambience around me. I also click pictures. I just do that for a week or something and not get bothered about who you are, why you are there, more so because people around you are also not bothered about your existence. I do that every time [I need a break] and come back with a bang.”

Taapsee is happy with the responses that her latest film Manmarziyaan has received. She says that, from the time she read the script, she knew that the character of Rumi will connect with women. “She has a part of me, a part of you… there is characteristics of every Indian girl in her,” says the actor, who is now shooting for her, Sujoy Ghosh’s Badla that also stars Amitabh Bachchan. She is also looking forward to doing one film down south.
