YAMI GAUTAM TO JAZZ IT UP IN LONDON
Actor plans to take a break to attend music festival this weekend while in the British capital on work
Actor Yami Gautam is rather fond of music and particularly jazz. While she makes it a point to attend jazz festivals in Mumbai and her hometown Chandigarh when she’s in those cities, the actor now plans to attend the London Jazz Music festival.
Yami is in London due to work commitments but will take time out to attend the London Jazz Music Festival on November 18. The annual festival is currently underway in different parts of the British capital.
Yami, who made her Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor (2012), was last seen on the silver screen in Batti Gul Meter Chalu.
The actor is kicked about being able to attend the world famous festival. “Since the jazz festival is happening on the same dates as my visit to London, I ensured that I get a chance to take a break and go there while I’m in the city. I’m excited to learn more about jazz, as it’s a genre that has always intrigued me,” shares Yami.
The actor says music has always worked wonders for her. “Music is therapeutic for me, as it is for most people. It can change one’s mood in several ways — one can be inspired, be sad, be motivated, be elated — all by the sounds and lyrics of their favourite music. Personally, I love to explore more about music and love to get an experience firsthand,” she says.
