Actor Ben Affleck says he decided not to return as Batman when he couldn’t crack the idea for the next stand-alone film.

In January, it was announced that the actor would not be returning for the Matt Reeves-directed standalone film, titled The Batman. Affleck had previously stepped down from directing the Batman film.

The 46-year-old actor opened up about his decision to end his stint as Batman in the DC Extended Universe when he appeared on the chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

“I tried to direct a version of it and worked with a really good screenwriter, but just couldn’t come up with a version, I couldn’t crack it,” Affleck said.

“So I thought it was time to let someone else take a shot at it. They got some really good people so I’m excited,” the actor added.

The Oscar winner appeared as the Caped Crusader in two tentpoles — 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the 2017 film Justice League.

When host Jimmy Kimmel asked Affleck if he has any parting words, he said: “I don’t know? I guess, I’m not Batman.”

Popular TV actors Abhinav Shukla and Rubina Dilaik, who got married last year, in a candid interview, talk to us about their relationship, who proposed to whom first, and their recently released music travel video, which was written and sung by Rubina, and shot by Abhinav. Excerpts: Abhinav: We used to travel a lot and to non-touristy places. At times, I used to shoot travel documentaries but somehow, I was of the opinion that I need to use the beauty of the place we are visiting! So Rubina came up with the idea of shooting a musical travelogue! Rubina loves singing while I enjoy adventure, travel and cataloguing the journey. We managed to combine the best of both worlds, and create our own musical travelogues.

Abhinav: We were travelling to different places and beaches around the Island Belitung in Indonesia, and we shot at a place called Batu Baginde, which means a giant granite boulder, which we had to climb to get a great view. I had two bags and Rubina was carrying her makeup and clothes on her own and we reached a place where there was a fixed ladder to climb. It was tricky but we took the risk. It turned out to be quite adventurous. Abhinav: We just debate, argue and finally the extra parts are naturally filtered out. Rubina: Yes, we often debate but the outcome after a lot of arguments is constructive. We both have our own ways of thinking and conflict filters out the unnecessary bits. and do not read advice on relationships on the internet or in magazines (laughs). us together in a lot of musical travelogues and we are hoping that our audience is going to enjoy us in this avatar.
