Masters of disguise

Bollywood actors are used to changing their appearance for their on screen looks. We look at some of the most drastic transformations including Saand ki Aankh in which both Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu play shooter dadis in their 60s.

Akshay Kumar, who the audience is now used to seeing as a common man hero, sprang up a surprise with his fierce look in the upcoming film Laxmmi Bomb. In the image, Akshay is seen wearing a red saree, a big red bindi and a wig with a bun. While sharing his look on social media, the actor had written: “A character I am both excited and nervous about... but then life begins at the end of our comfort zone... isn’t it?”

Saif Ali Khan is sporting the look of a Naga Sadhu for Laal Kaptaan, where he is seen with long hair, dreads and beard. Darshan Yewalekar, the man behind Saif’s look, recently said, “I asked Saif to grow his hair and beard so that we could get a seamless blend between real hair and extensions.

Playing an acid attack survivor in a real lifeinspired story is a challenge that Deepika Padukone has happily taken on in her next project, Chhapaak.
