BOBBY’S BIOPIC WILL BE TITLED TOILET- EK PREM KATHA.

- Riteish Deshmukh Compiled by Rishabh Suri

It was literally a house full of stars when the team of Housefull 4 — Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbanda, and ‘Aakhri Pasta’ Chunky Panday came visiting HT House to meet the winners of the HT City Stars in the City contest.

The stars of the film had embarked on a first-of-its-kind promotional journey in a Mumbai-to-Delhi special train, which reached the Capital and the actors went down memory lane recounting tales of their last train journey. And, Akshay had one of the most spine-chilling stories to share, where he had once encounter dacoits on a journey!

“As a kid, once I was travelling in a train and my daddy had given me ₹250, which was a big amount in those days. I had done a lot of shopping with it — a shirt for ₹5-8, and a pant for ₹12! And, then, trains would stop in between stations a lot. As we approached Chambal station, dacoits entered the train and they would throw away all the belongings of the passengers out of the train. At 2:30, in the night, they threw out all my stuff. I had tears in my eyes, but couldn’t say anything as they would have shot me then. When my dad received me at the Delhi station, I was barefoot,” says the actor, who plays a bald, ruthless king in the reincarnation comedy.

Riteish revealed that during the promotional train journey, they had played Antakshri, late in the night, which helped them to win against Akshay. “We all know how much Akshay loves betting and winning. We started playing at 11pm and by 12:30, Akshay wasn’t able to say anything because he goes to bed early. I realised agar Akshay se bet jeetni hai, toh 12:30 ke baad hi!,” laughed Riteish.

On a serious note, when Riteish was asked about the reactions expected about the comedy from the critics, he says,“Humne Housefull audience ke liye banai hai. We want them to go and watch it, and critics should watch it, too. We made Housefull 4 because the third part worked, the third one because the second one worked, and the second because the first one did well. Iske peeche audience ka bada haath hai. It’s for everyone.”

While the story of the film thrives on confusion, there was also confusion on the sets of the film with two Kritis in the star cast — Sanon and Kharbanda. When a fan asked the cast what would each one do, if they had turned into each other, one fine morning, it was a complete laugh riot, Kriti says, “If I would turn into Bobby, I would clean the toilet and make sure all the ACs are working.” To this response, Riteish added,“I feel Bobby’s biopic will be titled Toilet- Ek Prem Katha!” Meanwhile,Bobby said that he would turn vegan, if he woke up as Riteish. Akshay said he would “smile” after turning into Kriti Sanon.

While there was no dearth of hilarious repartees at the sessions, the cast danced to the popular number, Bala with the audience, fulling their request.
