Kriti’s dream run continues

With the success of her latest movie, Housefull 4, actor Kriti Sanon is swiftly climbing up the ladder in Bollywood. And going by her film choices, she has found her footing in the comedy entertainment space.

Kriti first explored the genre in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), as a credible performer. Soon after, she headlined the romantic comedy Luka Chuppi, which released earlier this year, and was praised as a natural in the role of a new-age girl. And most recently, she hit a homerun in a glamorous avatar with her dual roles in Housefull 4, which is touted as one of the biggest Diwali openings.

Kriti’s comedy movies have earned her appreciation while also establishing her as a lucky mascot, considering the massive business the films have drawn at the box office. The success of her latest entertainer has solidified her status as a bankable actor.

She says, “A big thanks to the audience for giving the film and my character so much love. I credit the viewers for all the successes that have come. I feel very fortunate. Getting to do what you love is rewarding in itself, but when it’s coupled with a positive response, I feel more responsible towards my calling as an actor.”

Kriti has also started shooting for her upcoming project, Mimi, in which she essays the role of a young surrogate. For the first time, she will be carrying a film on her shoulders as the single protagonist.
