‘I hit the gym with the goal of outdoing myself’ HEALTH STRUCK WITH SONU SOOD, ACTOR
What is the one breakfast food that you must have?
As I always insist on having home-made food, for me, breakfast has to be something healthy which helps me maintain a balanced diet.
One fattening food item that you just can’t resist?
Even though I have very good self-control, there are times when I cannot resist sarso da saag and makke di roti.
How do you get back in shape post a fattening indulgence?
Well, I stick to my workout routine usually and also include a few changes in my diet for the next few days. But I try not to indulge in fattening foods very often, because for me, fitness cannot be compromised. It is very essential for one’s personal and professional growth.
A diet plan that always works for you?
I don’t stick to any particular diet plan. I just make sure that everything I eat is healthy, fresh and home-made. That alone works wonders for me.
Do you workout at home? What are the exercises you follow? Yes, in my free time I workout at home also. Even if I am busy, I find time to workout. I do some functional exercises and cardio.
Do you prefer outdoor or indoor physical activities?
I like to mix it up. So there are days when I also like to ditch the treadmill and go out for a run.
Which are your favourite physical activities?
I prefer to experiment with my workout routine, generally, it is a mix of functional training, weights, running and cardio. I like my workout to be challenging and I hit the gym with the goal to outdo myself, because for me, fitness is a prerequisite as an actor.
Staying fit is a wellness concept that cannot be compromised. So, a tip I always rely on is your fitness level is at times the barometer to determine your quality of work in front of the camera. So, no matter how busy I am, I will always stick to my fitness routine.
