In the industry, today, stories are being given the importance they deserve — not just in films but in the web content, too. And making the most of the trend Jimmy Sheirgill, like many other actors, has joined the bandwagon of change and the web. While he is happy to explore the medium, he says one has to wait and watch its fate.

All set to make his web debut, the actor says, “The platform is very new right now and has opened a whole new avenue. There is so much to be done, so much to discover. It would be too early to say if web is the future or not, but yes it is definitely a very interesting space.”

Jimmy, who admits that he is hooked on the digital content, says he enjoyed the experience of working on a web series, and it felt like he was working on a longer movie. “It also made me realise that the time, space and convenience this platform offers is amazing for the writers, who can add layers to the character, for the director to include a lot more visually, and for the actors, too, it does not get monotonous. They can experiment a

JIMMY SHEIRGILL lot with the character and their performance. So, the immense creative freedom this space offers is what we all have been looking forward to,” he adds.

Jimmy shares that he wanted to be part of a web project for long, but was in no hurry. “The offers that I was getting weren’t good enough, especially the characters. Maza nahin aa raha tha… I was looking to do something that would be challenging not just for me, but also for the audience to accept me in,” he says, adding that while as an actor he is ready to compromise on the role, but it may not be necessarily

healthy for the craft.
