Explaining Covid-19 to kids
The pandemic and the resultant lockdown is a daunting situation for arents, especially when it omes to explaining to kids why their movements are estricted. However, celebs have devised innovative ways to explain this situation to their children.
Actor Juhi Parmar, who is ducating her daughter, amairra, 7, says,“She knows hat there’s a virus that’s making people sick. I’ve taught er the importance of washing ands. We can’t hide the situation from kids, but I’m trying to not get her scared.” Filmmaker Karan Johar recently shared a video with his son Yash, 3, where he asks him about coronavirus and the toddler responds, “It is very bad.”
Actor Ashish Chowdhry posted a video of his daughters Salara and Sammah, talking about staying indoors and maintaining hygiene. “We are trying to tell them about the situation, but we’re also keeping them from reading negative stuff,” he says.
Actor Tusshar Kapoor uploaded a video of his son Laksshya, talking about Covid19 and urging people to stay at home. Director-choreographer Farah Khan Kunder’s daughter Anya, too, made an appearance on Instagram to make people aware about caring for pets.
Actor Chhavi Mittal hasn’t kept anything hidden from her kids, Areeza and Arham. She says, “I told them everything, but also that it will pass.”
Kajol, too, in a video with son Yug, spoke on Covid-19. The actor appealed people to stay at home and wash hands.
Actor Chahatt Khanna says her daughters, Zoharr, 3, and Amaira, 2, are too young to understand the situation, so “when they ask me why they can’t go down to play, I tell them that there is a bad thing happening outside”.

Bella and Vienna know that there is something wrong. “They don’t know the meaning of lockdown, but they know that there’s a virus which is making people sick,” he says.
