With over 15 million followers, social media star, model and actor Vishal Pandey feels that the ongoing controversy between YouTube vs TikTok will fade out soon as only talent prevails and sustains. “See I believe content always speaks for itself no matter which platform it belongs to. If someone has it in him or her, to influence a major chunk of people, then the platform does not matter much. As performers our job is to entertain people and give our best. We live in a competitive world and so such controversies are bound to happen but this is certainly momentary. For me, both platforms are equally entertaining and that is what matters at the end of the day,” shared Vishal over phone.

He was in Lucknow in February-March for a video shoot where he was mobbed by his fans. Talking about his city connect he said, “My mother is from Lucknow and as a child I used to visit my maternal grandparents. I love this city and when I got a work opportunity, I just said yes. When I reached the city, it brought back all wonderful time I had here but the best part was when we reached the shooting spot we were literally mobbed by our fans. What a sight it was – thousands of people calling your name, asking for autographs and selfies.”

The youngster is also a member of the famous trio that is known for its fun content. “I was a business management and wanted a break from studies. So just made a fun video and posted without realising where this will take me to. Within a matter of hours, the video went viral and rest is history. Soon I got to gang up with other stars like Bhavin and Sameeksha and ‘Teen Tigada’ happened and it’s crazy when we perform. Our videos are proof of what fun and it is to work together in a team and entertain fans full on.” Vishal has two OTT series in his kitty, “We got offers for videos as soon as our trio got hit. And then we did a number of music videos with singers like Shaan, Mamta Sharma, Stebin Ben and others. The highest traction was seen in the song, ‘Rula Ke Gaya Ishq’ with 123 million views. Then I featured in songs, ‘Mera Bhai’, ‘TikTok’, ‘Tu Bhi Roega’, ‘Tumaari Yaad Aayi’ and ‘Rang Barse.’ ‘Rang… was entirely shot in Lucknow and was an instant chartbuster. Getting roles on web was a bonus and best part is both shows have me as a central character with totally diverse roles. The shows are planned to be streamed this year end.”

According to Vishal content creation is not an easy job, “Good content comes from observation and understanding your audience well. Whenever I sit down to make new content, the night before that I watch my previous content again, I read the comments, views and do my analysis. After doing my research, I write down my ideas and I try to create a bank of 15-20 ideas at least before I shoot.”
