These crises are nature’s way to warn the entire human race…

- AKSHAY SAHU

Nobody can prepare for such adversities ever. None of us had any experience of what was awaiting us.

As the time passed, many difficulties came to the fore. A big problem was to find ways to use the time properly. And after some time, it seemed that no one could be our friend more than books and nature. Then I decided to read all those interesting literature books and stories online as well as offline.

It has been three months in lockdown I read many stories and books during this period. With no classes, no work and negligible socializing made make these writers and their characters my lockdown friends.

Munshi Premchand’s ‘Godan,’ Guru Ravindra Nath Tagore’s ‘Geetanjali’, ‘Kabuliwala’ along with Swami Vivekananda’s book ‘The Power of Mind’ all made it a bit easy for me to survive the phase. After reading such great works I have gained a new balanced viewpoint and feel evolved as a person. I actually feel very positive and know how to stay positive in tough times.

My evenings were all about gardening and staying close to nature. My small garden is house to a number of flowering plants and that makes it a sight to look.

Over the tea, I sat with grandparents and heard stories of their childhood. The good part of the lockdown was that it brought the entire family members close.

Online classes too kept me and other students all engaged though it was nothing close the real classroom.

I feel these crises are nature’s way to warn the entire human race to mend our ways as soon as possible and respect all living beings as well as resources of planet earth.
