New academic challenges ahead…

It was a revelation of my real self of which I was unknown for long. As it is said we all have several characteristics which remain concealed till we go through something anomalous.

As we enter unlock phase one it feels a little strange that how we actually survived being locked in homes for months. The first phase of the lockdown was more like a break. I got an opportunity to explore my culinary skills; I never knew I could make some scrumptious delicacies which once I had dreamt of.

I discovered a big book lover in me also I overcame the communication gap I had developed with people around me. And revived several lost hobbies which required time and attention that I never had. Now with the onset of unlock phase I am preparing myself for new academic challenges that await us ahead with new set of norms and rules.

As we have guidelines to follow I am more concerned about my health and safety while I visit the places important on my list. Buying books and essential stuff from different markets will be a challenge for now as cases are on a rise but being a student I have to get going.

The phase made me a better citizen in terms of learning the importance of food, water and medicines. How earlier I never bothered about things and now I know that with so many people out there are dying of hunger so being a responsible citizen it’s our duty to not to waste food and water. And try to find people in need of basic ration so that we can help them with whatever we have. People among us who are privileged with food and house should come forward to help those who are away from their homes and stuck in inescapable circumstances. I am proud of the people of my family, neighbourhood and society who went ahead and provided the best of help to those in urgent need.

For me lockdown was a life lesson and a learning experience because as they say ‘Survival of the fittest,’ I aspire to keep fit both mentally and physically to face unseen life challenges in future.
