CELEBRATIONS ALL AROUND

City of Lucknow was all soaked in patriotism, celebrating 72nd Republic Day with full fervour and enthusiasm. Various schools, colleges and localities celebrated the day at different locations.
GD Goenka Public School celebrated the national festival. The celebration began with the unfurling of the National Flag in the school by the chairman Sarvesh Kumar Goel in the presence of the principal Raveen Pande, teachers, and students of the school. A friendly cricket match between the teachers and students was also held in the school to celebrate the spirit of freedom.
SKD Academy, students, teachers came together for the R-Day with a sprit of devotion towards the motherland. S K D Singh, chairman, Manish Singh, director, Nisha Singh deputy director hoisted National Flag at all branches.
At Unity P G & Law College, principal Dr Sunil Dhawan hoisted the National Flag along with other faculty members which was followed by singing of the National Anthem by the students. College chairman Justice Imtiyaz Murtaza addressed the students.
KV Gomtinagar celebrated by unfurling the tricolour flag was hoisted by the chief guest, principal, Dr CBP Verma. Also present Preeti Tewari, vice principal. Ayushi Bhatt of class XI and Siddhi of XII threw light on the importance of the Republic Day in their respective speeches along with other song-dance acts.
Maharishi Vidya Mandir Sitapur Road saw manager of the school Anoop Srivastava addressing students with an inspiring speech. The day was marked with cultural programmes, speeches, recitation and pyramid formation. The program was brought to an end by vehement speech of principal Dr Abha Bhaarat Shah.
Republic Day was celebrated at Seth MR Jaipuria School, Gomtinagar with great zeal while following social distancing norms. On the occasion Promini Chopra, principal spoke about how each
Indian has in himself or herself the capacity to achieve greatness. After the speech, the celebrations began with a wonderful line up of performances. Followed by discussion of class 12 students on ‘How has India grown during the Pandemic’;
Bal Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Charbagh was decorated with tri-colour festoons, banners and flags. The programme began with a very zealous welcoming by the student-anchors. Dr Dauji Gupt graced the occasion as the chief guest along with the other guests. Rendition of a patriotic songs, a few spectacular cultural presentations drills, PT display.
The Lucknow Public Collegiate all branches and St Teresa’s Day School and College, celebrated the day with much fanfare.
Gomti Nagar situated Rapti Apartments came up with sports competition to celebrate the day. Tyagi vihar, an army welfare housing organisation colony, in Sharda Nagar also organised a get together to celebrate the national day.
If you are a ’90s kid, then this photo would immediately take you back to those days when movie buffs looked forward to Shah Rukh Khan-Juhi Chawla films. After all, the real-life friends’ onscreen chemistry never failed to create magic. Recently, Chawla shared this throwback photo from one of those days gone by and wrote, “I would love to jump back in time & spend a day on a movie set in the 90s Remember this @iamsrk? (sic)”
