Are OTT platforms looking to cast more stars now?

-

Yes, OTT platforms are looking to cast big names for their productions more now. In fact, it has been happening for quite some time. And stars also want new audience for themselves because now they have realised the need to get character roles and not just play the quintessential hero anymore. With the advent of OTT platforms, they have suddenly found a space where they can do that. That is why even digital platforms are now giving preference to them over actors who have already been doing work on OTT platforms for a while. The OTTs also want to grab eyeballs now. However, even with all this demand for stars, if a big star does not deliver a decent performance, the audience will simply reject them.

If it works out, OTT and theatrical film content will be two different verticals for the company.” There is no official confirmation yet.
