BParound kids. Childbirth is the biggest miracle on earth. When you feel the kick, it is just wonderful. Women are looked after during pregnancies, and rightly so as they go through so much, but the men, too, should get some attention, as a father goes through a lot emotionally. In India, men are expected to be strong and not share their emotions. But, I like to express myself,” he shares. Sheikh was shooting for two projects in the last couple of months and couldn’t spend time with his wife. He plans to take some time off now. Ask him what kind of a dad he would be and he says, “I might spoil my child. But I also know that I will never force my thoughts or views on her,” he ends.

Since he is currently shooting in Jhansi, actor Pratik Gandhi is missing his home amid all the festivities of the ongoing Ganeshotsav.

“Every year, we welcome Ganpati Bappa at our home. We often keep him for three days or one-and-ahalf days. In fact, we have a panchdhatu murti. Hum log ussi ko visarjit karte hain ghar pe, aur agle saal wahi murti fir se sthapit karte hain. So, it is an annual family affair for us, with close members and friends coming together for the puja,” says the actor.

His work has kept him away from the revelries this time. “This year, I am shooting and travelling, so, I am joining the celebration virtually. Din ki do aarti mein online join ho jaata hoon main. The pandemic has trained us all to do anything and everything online,” shares the 41-yearold. While the actor joins the celebrations virtually, it doesn’t help lessen his longing for home. “I am missing home so much. I get really homesick during festivals,” says Gandhi, who hails from Gujarat. He adds, “I have always felt a special bond with Bappa. I love festivals, maybe because I am very orthodox or due to my upbringing, as we used to celebrate every small festival at home.”

Opening up about his decision to skip going home for Ganpati this year, the Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story (2020) star says, “Jhansi se jaane aur aane ka matlab teen din ka gap aana, and then flights abhi bhi normal nahin hui hain.” Meanwhile, talking about his shooting experience in Jhansi, he says, “It has been really hectic, but in a good and fun way. We are taking safety precautions.”
